Tuesday 10
- I trimmed bushes, pruned small trees and weeded for 4 - 5 hours yesterday.
- I am sore.
- My daughter entertained herself with a worm while I worked.
- She kept saying things like "Aww, he likes me" and "I have to give him a bath."
- She played with it until she pinched its head off (or maybe it was the butt).
- I found her another worm, but the thrill was gone. She abandoned it after a few minutes.
- It was so freaking nice outside, I couldn't believe it.
- It was 70 degrees and sunny.
- I wore a tank top and shorts (the last time for a long time, I'm sure).
- Our forecast for Friday morning? - Snow Flurries.
1. So, apparently you get Columbus Day off?
3. There is a toad who we have seen in our yard a few times. We look for him everytime we're outside. If we find him hiding next to "his rock", my son says "He's sleeping!"
8 & 10. We had a beautiful day yesterday, too. Our snow is forecast for Thursday

We are supposed to have snow tomorrow! I am freaking out about it. It won't last and will probably just end up being slushy, but I am still freaking out.
Your daughter is so cute for making friends with a worm.
I like the new fall Preppy picture.

Don't you just love our climate? Weather must be feminine - it can turn on you in a snap! ;-)
Let's see if your daughter's worms enjoyment remains as she grows up! Mine died out - not so fond of them now...

I somehow missed this yesterday. My 8 yr old loves to play with worms when we are working outside. They all end up dead from the handling and she names them all, things like wormy and wormette. I am glad she isn't all girly about it.

Sounds like a lovely day. We're supposed to get snow on Thursday, and I'm not looking forward to it. Mid-October is just too early!
