I gotta say. People never cease to amaze me. Today at work, a customer sent us a self-addressed stamped envelope to return some info to her by mail. Apparently, she didn't have one of those (not so) hard-to-get, new fangled postage stamps - you know, the kind with the current postage rate on them? Instead, she used an old stamp and, get this...

TAPED A FREAKIN' PENNY TO THE ENVELOPE.

So... at first I was shocked - then offended. Now I'm wondering if she knows something I don't. C'est la vie... en poste.

First off, great episode overall. The Kevin subplot is hysterical. Best lines from that, "I like pie." and "I am SO gonna bang Holly." Phyllis & Angela's little spat made me laugh out loud too. Good stuff.

The Michael/Jan thing is kinda weird. Here he finally finds a nice lady (a yoda soul mate?) and a preggers Jan shows up. It's not his baby but he's so deseperate to be a dad he doesn't care? Oh Michael.

Now - you'll no doubt guess what my rant is about today. Jim & Pam - must the writers continue to sabotage their relationship? I knew they were gonna send her off to art school - but now they blocked the whole engagement? WTF-ever. I'm pissed. I get so upset with stuff like this. They could've appeased everyone and at least let them get engaged. GAH! Besides - I don't buy the fact that Pam wouldn't "figure out" that maybe Jim didn't propose because Andy stole his thunder. If I were her, I'd totally be thinking that. It makes me so mad I don't even want to watch the show anymore. I'm sure I'll get over it by fall.

Other rant of the day is Top Chef related. First - I pretty much agree that Andrew should've gotten the boot. He left out a whole required ingredient and didn't really execute the challenge extremely well. BUT - what is up with Stephanie? Did she really think ratting out Andrew was gonna help her? How shitty, especially after he tried to help her out by reminding her that shrimp are high in cholesterol. She just shoulda owned up at the end and apologized to him. Not suprising for someone who doesn't seem to want to own up to any mistakes she's made. Her sabotage accusations last night were a good example. Also, why did Dale have to win? He's a jerk. And what is UP with Sam's new hairdo? I didn't even recognize him.

Tonight - season finale of the OFFICE - I'm totally excited but kinda bummed. It's obvious they're gonna mess with Jim & Pam's relationship and send her off to art school. WTH - your thoughts?

I have joined the 21st century and am now the proud owner of an iPod. Quite a dandy mother's day present if I do say so myself. 8 gig nano and it is hot - white hot. Actually make that PINK hot, or hot pink as the case may be. Perfect for the prep in me.

I'll admit it - I love the damn thing. Not two months ago I was actually teasing Galoot about getting one and within just days of that post, I secretly coveted his. Before day's end yesterday I was on iTunes buying an album - my first purchase, the soundtrack from Garden State. Love it.

I hope you all had nice mama's days too. Mine ROCKED it hard core.
