Tagged and Takin' It!!

My ex... worked out next to me at the YMCA last week. The awkwardness was amplified when the machine he was on broke and he moved to a treadmill DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. I struggled for places to look besides straight ahead. Three machines over, Galoot seemed unaffected and somewhat oblivious.

Maybe I should... color my hair red again.

I love... a clean house.

People would say... I'm too nice.

I don't understand... investing. I mean, I understand why we should and the basics surrounding it but beyond that - total confusion.

When I wake up in the morning... I'm often still tired.

I lost... the receipt for my wedding ring and it needs to be fixed and now I'm screwed. St. Anthony... HELP!!!

Life is full of... joy.

My past is something... I sometimes choose to forget.

I get annoyed when... I find dirty dishes around the house (and yes, they are very occasionally mine).

Parties are... fun but messy.

I wish... Princess lived closer to me.

Dogs... are lovable but stinky.

Cats... are no fun.

Tomorrow... I am going to a family reunion where I will know virtually no one.

I have a low tolerance for... Green peppers, people who can't (or won't) think for themselves, laziness.

If I had a million dollars... I'd buy a big house where, we all could live...

I'm totally terrified of... dying with regrets.

Feel free to STEAL for your posting pleasure!

Cut the crap.

As you may have read with Galoot, Pgirl Jr. had a rough night Wednesday. She'd been sleeping with her best bud (Princess Slea Jr.) for about 4 nights in a row. Princess and the kids left Wednesday morning - so when Wednesday night rolled around, Pgirl Jr. suddenly could not sleep. I guess being separated from her BFF was making for a restless night. For some reason, she decided to take some scissors and give herself a trim... in the dark... sans a mirror. I didn't have the heart to take a pic of it the next morning but I can tell you I upset her beyond any level of necessity - (at one point she asked, "do you still love me mommy?") I was clearly more traumatized than she was.

Last night, we took her to get it "fixed." And, in all honesty, it looks pretty cute. The girl did a good job of blending together the parts where my daughter had chopped out huge chunks. In a show of solidarity, I will get my own summer cut tomorrow. Details to follow...

She loves it!

Friday 14? Sounds good to me...

14 things on the preppygirl mind today...

  1. When was the last time I blogged... and was it really that interesting? I tend to think... uh no.
  2. I can't believe I didn't blog about our trip to Cleveland. It was AWESOME and the Kids in the Hall still got it.
  3. We went to the annual Greek Yassou festival tonight. It never fails to deliver a night of beer, dancing and reunions with old friends.
  4. My Top Chef two cents - I'm glad Stephanie won but if Richard had been at his best, I still think he would've taken it.
  5. Last weekend my little girl turned freaking 7! I feel old. Suddenly she's 7 going on 17!
  6. This weekend is chock full o' stuff:
  7. My niece's birthday party AND My daughter's "friend" birthday party.
  8. Yassou festival.
  9. My daughter's ballet recital.
  10. Galoot's elementary school production of Willy Wonka.
  11. Princess comes to visit with her kidlets!
  12. Father's Day.
  13. We did actually attempt to see Willy Wonka tonight but left at intermission as it was literally... about 100 degrees in the auditorium.
  14. I love my central air.

Top Chef Rant

Antonia got the boot? Are you kidding me? Actually, after the judges spoke, I had an inkling it would be her. Plus, I was thinking that the producers would want to keep Lisa just to stir things up a little. WTF ever. Antonia deserved to go to the finals and Lisa ended up there by default. AND THEN, she got pissed that no one congratulated her? - Duh. At least the fact that she's there will increase the chances of Stephanie or Richard winning. My thoughts? Richard's got the goods.
