I'm so overwhelmed at the moment, I don't even know where to begin. I picked up a box from the Post Office this morning. It was from Princess, and quite large. After talking to Princess on the phone last night, I knew she was extremely excited for me to open it. I was already feeling guilty - having sent her a mere CD and pictures of my kids in her Christmas package - why did she buy me a big gift? I was flattered, but embarrassed.
I decided to open it when I got to work since Princess told me I shouldn't wait. I couldn't possibly have imagined what was waiting for me inside. My first clue was the remark on the tag, "P.S. It's not fake." Dammit Princess! I knew it had to be good. As I opened the gift box I saw the black silky drawstring bag that read "Betsey Johnson" in bright pink letters. I knew a desginer bag awaited me inside. And here it is:
I am so mad at her for spending so much - yet simultaneously so happy at the same time, I could just cry. Thanks Princess. I love you for knowing me so well and giving me a gift you knew I'd love. You are the sister I never had and most definitely my bestest friend. It's not so much that you gave me a nice expensive gift, it's that you knew how receiving it would make me feel. Ya dork. Oh, and by the way - are you insane? I'm sending you some cyber gratitude right now. Can't ya just feel it?

Dammit Princess! I almost bought that same purse yesterday at Big Lots. You probably spent more than I would have. Sucker!

I had a great year for my personal business and I believe 2007 will be even better in part thanks to you pgirl for helping me build my team out there.
I really wanted to get you something that you truly deserved and would never in a million years spend the money on because you are so practical.
Plus, as I told you on the phone, I did want to keep that bag for myself and that is how I knew it was the perfect gift for you ~ my soul sistah.
Galoot, I sincerely hope you are joking about shopping for my best friend's Christmas gift at Big Lots. Call me if you need ideas.

Princess - There are misplaced commas and hyphens all over the place. Is that what you're talking about? Perhaps it is the parts where I typed in slang (Can't ya, bestest).
