13 Things I've Done Since Last Blogging...
- Took a train to Chicago. Somewhat enjoyable as far as scenery. Totally uncomfortable as far as the crick in my back.
- Went to Millenium Park in Chicago for Lunch. Awesome.
- Attended a family wedding where Galoot took the mike and sang "Loving you... is easy 'cause you're beautiful..."
- Reminded John Waite not to forget his sunglasses. (seriously)
- I later imagined John Waite singing to his lost sunglasses, "I ain't missin' you at all!" Good thing I was there. Phew.
- Found out Galoot is now on the board of directors for the local ballet company. Sucker.
- Now he will have to perform in the Nutcracker for free (oh wait, he already was performing in the Nutcracker for free). Please re-visit Galoot's Nutcracker post for a good laugh.
- Took my daughter for all the new items she'll need for ballet class this year. I walked in the store to buy a leotard and walked out with shoes, tights, hair scrunchie and said leotard. Now who's the sucker?
- Finally got a computer at work (today), though I fear I do not have an internet connection quite yet. Baby steps, baby steps.
- Got flowers from an employee I inherited at my new job. She thanked me for making coming to work fun again. I about cried.
- I am religiously working out every other day (okay, except when I spent the weekend in Chicago). It feels good.
- I saw that my old house (I grew up in) was for sale so I made an appointment to go see it. It was weird. It felt so small but it looked great - except for that 6 foot chain link fence around the back yard - WTH?
- Had someone form H*me Depot come by the house to give us an estimate on replacement windows - to the tune of 9 grand! Again, WTH???
Hope the blogosphere is doing well. If you're not... WTH?
WTH, indeed.
The John Waite thing made me laugh.
How cool of your employee to get you flowers!

Happy to read you back!
Nice of your employee to acknowledge you like that. And good for you on the training (WTH?)
Now I have the John Waite song in my head and all I have to say "I'm not missing you at all" ;-)

I see you've managed to undo the handcuffs and find your way out of the crawlspace under the house. I love you!

I asked Galoot if you were going to be at UG last night and he replied, "No. She's at home with our children... where she SHOULD be."
I'm wondering what your predecessor must have been like at work if you're co-worker is giving you flowers in appreciation. But that's really sweet and a nice way to start off a new job!

This new co-worker of yours... is he hot? Is he hotter than John Waite?
I guess we will all have to Waite for your next post...
BTW... John Waite stole those sunglasses from Corey Hart.

I predict we'll see a new post from you by Friday morning after the premiere of The Office. :)

Did you and Galoot watch The Office last night? I loved it with one caveat: I think it would have been better as 2 half-hour episodes because it seemed like there were some slower parts since they were trying to drag it out to a whole hour. But I still loved it.

Nice article in the P-J! Someone should be passing along the digital copy of the paper to you via email soon.

We did watch it. PGirl was giggling something fierce. I think the episode was distinctly written as if the whole thing could be split into two parts. The second part was pretty damn good.
