13 Things I Did on Thursday
- Played Shopper's Trivia
- Tried to respond to all your comments on my last post - but Blogger ate it.
- IM'd my friend Favor8.
- Floated around the "American Girl" website for our upcoming trip to Chi-town.
- Thought I must be crazy for even considering taking my daughter to American Girl store.
- Meetings, meetings, meetings.
- Played Word Jumble on-line (16 seconds - BAM!).
- Watched Top Chef post-show interviews on-line.
- Got my nails done - LOVE THIS.
- Stopped at the grocery store for sour cream, cheese and hamburger buns.
- Ate an awesome Taco Bowl, courtesy of Galoot's kitchen.
- Walked the dog - BRRRRRRRRRR!
- Watched "The Office." Hysterical as always (you smell like Tide).
How was your Thursday?
1. You haven't ventured over to mine yet!
4. Are you driving to Chicago? You probably practically drive past me on the way...But hubby would freak if I said I was meeting a blogger. You know, because you must actually be a crazy person.
5. We were on a flight once and there was a mother and 2 daughters headed to Chicago from DALLAS simply to go that store. The father and son stayed home.
13. Not just you smell like Tide - Take it a step further with "Do you use Tide detergent?" I liked when Dwight insisted that the stripper refer to herself as a stripper in the future rather than a dancer.

plan on spending at least $100 in American Girl (that does NOT include a fancy outfit) which means you should also plan on at least one temper tantrum over not getting all the accessories she wants.
i speak from experience. i think honestly five/six is too young for American Girl, they may love them for about five minutes but aren't old enough to take care of a $100 doll (again, my own experience).
we put magda's doll up for when she gets a little older. (she didn't even notice).
we couldn't watch The Office last night, the channel was frozen on one image. odd.

3C - will now be playing yours too. Not driving to Chicago, we are flying out of Buffalo. However, we have made that trip MANY times and will probably do it at the end of August. I'll keep ya posted. I liked when Michael came up to the girl in the breakroom and said, "Stripper? Should I tell my girlfriend..." Too funny.
PSlea - Ya, I was really thinking about that yesterday - the fact that she wouldn't take care of it. Maybe in a few years.

We actually watched some of "Scrubs" (Slygathor!) and "30 Rock". (Baldwin's line about the prince staving off infection was hilarious!)

Okay, Office was CLASSIC this week. But am I the only one really bothered by Karen's hair? Just wondering...
So. When are you going to come play MY trivia? Huh? :)

I'm glad I was a part of your busy Thursday. Visit the AG store if you can, while you can. She'll be too big to want to go someday. It will be here faster than you know it. (But start saving $$ now!) :)

WN - I'm with ya on Karen's hair. It always looks greasy - and the new bang cut doesn't help. BLEH. I've been trying to resist your trivia - I'm coming ovah...
Shopper - I'm so torn. I know she'd love it but needs another doll like a hole in the head. I probably want the doll more than she does. :)

It took me almost two minutes to do a jumble!

"you probably want the doll more than she does."
that is exactly why we went in, i was in love with the idea of her playing gently and carefully with her "friend." I envisioned that she would take her everywhere and change her clothes daily and love her.
Uh...she took her to dinner the first night because I suggested it. At home only a few days later, I found the doll lying on the floor in the front room, half of her clothes missing (a $30 doll outfit mind you), and her hair a mess.
my disappoint and my lesson learned.
before i suggested going to AG, mazzy would just as soon have had a $20 doll from kmart.
It really is OUR inner children crying for that store Pgirl. The creators of that store are preying on US (the mothers) not the kids.
i fell victim.* sobbing.*
