Al Gore Rocks!

He spoke at our "Institution" today - and he rocked. It was amazing! (Particularly since I tend to think of our clientele as predominantly republican.)
Because I was working, I did not hear a great deal of the lecture but I did make it down to the Amphitheater for a few minutes. It was awesome. In addition to his usual slide show he threw in a little information about our local lake (being formed by a glacier, and all...) which I thought was pretty cool. He sounded so natural and genuinely energetic. It was hard to believe it was the same, seemingly dull, guy who'd campaigned for president just a few years ago.
He'll be around for a few more days so maybe I'll catch a glimpse (though he's being very private, and rightfully so - he's on vacation after all!) Still, it feels really cool to be sharing the same town with Mr. Gore for a few days!
As I already told you, I think it is soooo cool that Al Gore is in your little gated world for a few days.
Sorry I had to hang up on you, a customer came in (the nerve!) and she was giving me the evil eye for not attending to her asap.

Very cool! I am impressed that he added some facts about the local area to his speech.
Why is it called an Institution and not an Institute? Sounds like a prison! ;)

By the end of our season we all refer to ourselves as having been institutionalized.

The more I look at that picture of Al Gore (which is really not that much, despite my millions of comments on this post), the dorkier he looks!

I can't stand Al Gore. I think he's full of sh*t with his environmental propaganda voodoo that he pretended was a feature film. UGH!
BTW - this is Sherri....remember me???
