Treasure Trove

First of all, what is up with Blogger? I've had to republish my blog 3 times this week. Grrr. You get what you pay for.

On to other matters. Wednesday night my dad brought over a box he'd found in his garage. It was labeled "Preppygirl's Dance Costumes." I was excited, thinking my daughter would just love them for her dress-up collection. When I opened the box, I could not believe my eyes - for it was NOT filled with dance costumes but several other pieces of my past. Inside, I found the following:

The 45 RPM of "St. Elmo's Fire" by John Parr. He also brought us great hits like, "Naughty, Naughty" and... er, umm... okay - I guess that was about it.

George Michael's "I Want Your Sex." I'm sure my mother was thrilled about her teenage daughter blasting this song.

Jack Wagner's "All I Need." Oh Frisco, you are all I need baby. I not only found the 45 in this box, I also had the 12 inch. Vinyl Baby!

Oh but that's not all. I also found my High School Diploma, an old friendship bracelet, a plaque for "who's who" (I know, I know, it's a scam), my junior year basketball picture, and two ticket stubs to "West Side Story" starring Jack Wagner at the Sunrise Musical Theater from 1987. Whoa, I was having serious flashbacks!!!.

Anyhoo, I thought I'd share my little piece of the past. If you had any doubt before, now you KNOW what a geek I am!

Oh yeah, Frisco was the heartthrob of General Hospital...On Melrose Place I realized that the thrill was gone...

Ya, Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose... I still thought he was cute but he was lacking that massive wave of feathered hair that only Frisco could pull off. :)

I've been getting problems with Blogger as well - quite frustrating at times!

What a lovely trip down memory lane! Don't really remember the music of St-Elmo's Fire, but I do remember the movie! As for Georgie baby, I wanted his sex too... that changed a little (hummm...wonder why?!) and Frisco... wow! I remember coming home from school and watching him, I had a thing for blonds at that time and that song... just reading the title and I'm humming it! Thanks for the memories... aaaaaaaallllllll IIIIIIIII nnnneeeeeedd...

That was a nice surprise.

Hey... did dad put any of my GOOD music in there?

Oh ya, like Weird Al? Or Chipmunk punk? You are an uber geek too bro.
