Stern

Okay, I have NEVER liked Howard Stern. Although I enjoyed his movie, I think his show is stupid and ridiculous. I'm not big on fart jokes or bathroom humor so I never really "got" why so many people like him.

Galoot and I both have subscriptions to Sirius and have for over a year. I usually just listen to music (KidStuff is very popular in our car), a little NPR and the occasional Raw Dog comedy show. My husband recently started tuning in to Howard 100 just to see what all the fuss is about. He told me he feels a bit conflicted about it because, when just Howard is talking about a particular subject, he sounds intelligent (I agree on this point) and interesting. Then Robin or one of the other jerks in the studio opens their mouth and it all goes downhill. (For the record, I don't think Robin is a jerk, she's just annoying).

Anyhoo, my husband has been trying to get me to listen to see what I think. Well, yesterday I gave it a try. They were interviewing director J.J. Abrams, (with whom I'm somewhat familiar) so I figured it might not be so bad. It was mildly amusing at first, but it soon started to escalate. I was laughing so hard within 5 minutes, I almost had to pull over. Seriously, I was literally crying. And what I was laughing at was so un-P.C. - I will surely burn in hell for even finding it humorous.

I was amazed. It was FUNNY. I felt like a hypocrite. OH BUT WAIT - I turned it on today to hear the most disgusting story (it involved someone defecating in their pants - and that was the tame part) - so maybe I was right afterall - but... I think I might be hooked enough to check it out once in a while. The nice thing about satellite is I still have like 150 other channels to choose from. I highly recommend it!

I agree with Wordnerd. I love Sirius so much - I don't have it but Mr Fly does and I love the 80's station and Raw Dog but Radio Disney gets more play. It is scary how similar our tastes are :)

and Thanks for the shout out yesterday!

Word up to the 80's station. I'll also admit to all the cheeseball love song stations. Sirius Luuuuuvvv... and Star Lite. First Wave is another good one. A second subscription is only like half price isn't it? I got mine for mother's day last year. Hint, hint to all the hubbies out there...
