Mom's Day!

It was a great weekend. Friday night we hit the mall and I was allowed to pick out a gift. I'd been wanting a new watch (my old one bit the dust in the pool in Florida) so I was psyched. I ended up with a cute pink Fossil. Next was dinner in the food court, then home to watch the season finale of "The Office" which we'd tivo-ed the night before. HOLY CRAP it was good. After my husband fell asleep I replayed the ending about 5 times. But - while I'm happy about Jim & Pam I feel a little let down... I WANT MORE. Guess I'll have to wait until the fall - grrr...
Saturday was nice. Did some cleaning, watched some sappy movies and got a babysitter so we could actually go out. Galoot had an improv show so we grabbed some dinner and headed over to the theater. Went out for a couple of microbrews later (we have an awesome local brewery that most pubs in town serve on tap). I needed a night out.
Sunday was great too. The kids gave me a some cards they made at school and some flowers. Galoot made breakfast and we lounged around all day. At dinnertime, Galoot got my favorite pizza and a bottle of cab. It was perfect. We went to visit my grandma after dinner and she was so happy to see us.
It was a Happy Mother's Day indeed. I hope you all had a great weekend too!
I also had a great Mother's Day weekend. We hit the mall on Saturday, and I was treated to two shirts (stay away from Coldwater Creek - cute clothes, OK prices if you find things on sale, but my gosh, the salespeople are clingy). Saturday night our son had a fever, so I gave him some tylenol before bed. Sunday morning he woke up and indicated that his throat was sore (He was healthy most of the winter, so this was one of his first "bugs" since he has learned to communicate pretty much everything). I called the doctor, because one of the boys in my son's class was sent home with strep last week. Doctor met us in the office, negative for strep, but red throat. My son was in really good spirits in spite of the sore throat, and we had a fun day hanging out at home. My son also made a cute card at school (picture of him and handprint in it), and hubby made dinner, and son & hubby gave me a few mommy-themed children's books to add to our son's collection.
Good day. The little man seems to be feeling a bit better today...hopefully he will be feeling much better soon!
Glad your day was so good!

Bummer about him being sick! I hate when my kids are sick. Do you have the book "Mommies are for Counting Stars?" It's really cute. We have the daddy one too "Daddies are for Catching Fireflies." My son makes me read both books every night before bed. Glad you had a good day and I hope he's all better soon.:)

1. Cute watch!
2. I am such a dork that even though I saw The Office on Thursday, I am still sighing about it. Ok, and maybe still squealing about it too.
3. I love wine and pizza! Good choice.

Hello! I've been "seeing" your (and BTW, you do look a little like Sara Gilbert, sorry!) comments on different blogs, and couldn't resist commenting on the watch! Very nice choice! I have a watch "thing", if this keeps up, I'll need "professional" help... oh well! Glad you had a good Mother's Day!

Love the watch. Extra points to my husband for letting me pick it out myself. I thought the rhine stones on the bezel might be a bit much but I am SO loving it now.
Damn that Sara Gilbert. ;)
