Patty's Pot on Ya!
You are now saying... who's pot on what? Every year on St. Patty's day, my mother's VERY Irish family spends the whole day trying to say this phrase to family members before they can say it to them. Sound confusing? If my mom can say that phrase to me today, before I can say it to her, I owe her a green beer. And not only will I owe her a beer but I will be reminded almost daily until next St. Patty's day that she "potted" me first. I can only assume this is some sort of Chicago Irish thing that has been carried on through the years. My mom even called me yesterday and screamed "Patty's Pat on Ya!" just to practice for today.
Everyone in the family will now spend the rest of the day answering their phone with "Patty's Pot on Ya!" or will call answering machines and send e-mails (even though that doesn't supposedly count) just to aggravate one another. No one's gotten me yet, but the day is still young. So to you all, I send out a cyber "Patty's Pot on Ya!" and remind you that you now owe me a cyber beer!

That's awesome! I have never heard of such a thing!

My mom called my office later and got my assistant. I could hear from the next room it was my mom so I very quietly walked into the next room and whispered, "give me your headset." I put the headset on just in time to hear my mom say, "tell her it's her boss or something, don't tell her it's me..." then I potted her hard, sweet.
