Back at Last!

Well the trip was great. We're all well rested and re-energized (well sorta...) As is the case with most vacations, I now feel like I need a few days off just to recover. I only cried once yesterday about how dirty and cluttered my house is (anything will seem cluttered after you've spent a week in a sparsely decorated and furnished vacation condo).

It's easy to get depressed after a vacation I suppose. First of all, Florida is just beautiful. Sunny, warm, clean, and thriving. We were treated by my mom a good portion of the trip and my aunt & uncle also invited us to their "yacht club" for a couple of meals. A special meal for us usually means a trip to Mickey D's so , we definitely felt spoiled. It's nice to have relatives who like to share the wealth!

Disney was great too, the kids were actually well-behaved (they were probably too overwhelmed to even think about acting up). We saw old friends, ate LOTS of seafood and got to act like single people again while grandma took the kids overnight. Can't complain about that! All in all, a well rounded trip.

Here's a couple of pics. My mom got the kids these great wet suits with built-in flotation (we kept calling them Hans & Franz) - I highly recommend. Plus a Disney pic. It can be a hassle, but it's always worth it in the end.

Glad you had a good trip. I just saw some child size wetsuits at Sams Club yesterday. I didn't get close enough to see if they had built in flotation...If so, that would make much more sense to me. I wondered if there was really a market for childrens' wetsuits.

I think my mom got one of these at Walmart and the other came from Target (they actually had quite a few at Target near the life jackets and pool stuff). Ya, deep sea diving for toddlers doesn't sound too safe. Ha!

it's freezing and yucky here today too. we got jude's floatie wet suit at walmart (even though i try to hate walmart ~ they do got the stuff)

i'm sure grandma looooves that picture of her behind posted on blogworld.

i want to see more disney pictures!

Yes the weather sucks today. As I check this it is 37 degrees! Jeesh! Did Jude get a nemo suit too princess? We'll get them together this summer for a little kiddie "sumo" fight.

Ya, my mom would be none too happy to see her butt on the web. Guess I'll hold off on telling her about the old blog...

More pics to come. Me cold... brrrrrr!

Welcome home - I was going to comment on the last post but got side tracked with whole broken foot drama. I am a HUGE fan of David Sedaris and am soooo jealous that you got to see him live. He was at a KU last year but I didn't find out until the day of and then couldn't make the logistics work.

I love the floaty wet suits - how absolutely adorable! I would pay money to see a kiddie sumo hee hee.
