Karaoke On Demand - Who Knew?
Sunday morning, my husband and I discovered we have Karaoke on demand through our digital cable service. My husband got totally excited and started scrolling through the impressive list of choices. He picked a song and ran into our daughter's room to steal her microphone. I then witnessed something very scary: a 6 foot 7, 34 year old man singing "Hopelessly Devoted" through a pink plastic microphone. Yikes! Oh but it didn't end there. The next two selections were duets (I had to get in on this action) - "Reunited", followed by "Up Where We Belong" (my husband loved painfully shouting, "WHERE THE CLEAR WINDS BLOW!!!"). He wrapped it up with "Devil Went Down to Georgia," where I learned the actual words are, "chicken in the bread pan pickin' out dough!" I accompanied on "air fiddle."
But now, I'm totally bummed. After having digital cable for over a year, we are switching to back to the Dish on Saturday (part of a bundling package). Guess we may need to break down and get PS2 so we can buy Karaoke Revolution. It's addicting!

The visual you painted was hilarious - Thanks!
The things we do in our homes...My son has a stuffed cow that has a cute little straw hat that comes off with a flower on it. Every once in a while he hands it to my husband and says "Daddy, hat!" and my husband of course puts in on for our son...Tiny little flowered hat. Very cute.

Scarily, I own my very own karaoke machine. With built-in TV screen on top.
Oh, yeah.
I knew I'd hit an all-time low when I caught myself karaokeing at home....ALONE.

OHhhhh, you can't get rid of the digital now. I was already planning a trip out just to play!
Guinness Girl, prepp and I have also been known to "sneak" karaoke when we are alone. I stayed up extra late one night singing "Cry" (the one by Faith what's her name)just so I could earn a platinum record on it for the game (playstation). I had to sing it 7 times in a row before I got platinum.

Too late, the Dish guy came early (this morning) and now I'm officially back to the Dish...
I should probably just invest in my own machine too. I'll bet Lenny would be into it. Although, I'm sure he'd also like the PS2 (I can't believe we don't have one yet!)
