The Electric Company-E-E-E
My husband brought home "The Electric Company" DVD set that came out recently. My kids really love it. I'd highly recommend it for anyone with kids or anyone who's nostalgic for some downright funky 70's childhood TV shows. I forgot how really good that show is!
This morning as I drove the kids to school we passed by our local power plant, which had large plumes of smoke pouring out of it's turbines. My daughter asked, "Mommy, what do they make at that factory?" I said, "Well, it's the electric company. It makes power for our house so all the lights and TV can work." She paused a minute and of course made the connection, "So the electric company makes power for our house AND the movies that Daddy brought home?" I answered, "Welllll... YES." Some things aren't worth trying to explain to a 4 year old.
